Logan and Brisbane Southside · In home and online · Prep to Year 12

Calm, confidence first tutoring

One-on-one tutoring that brings structure, confidence and clarity back into school.

Studyroom provides personalised, gentle tutoring for anxious learners and neurodivergent students, including autistic and ADHD learners, as well as high achievers who want to extend themselves. We focus on understanding, not memorising, with clear steps and routines so students know what to do and how to do it.

Sessions are available in home across Logan, Beenleigh and Brisbane Southside, or online via the Studyroom WebApp.

How Studyroom tutoring works

The process is simple and supportive from the start. No pushy sales calls, just a genuine conversation about what your child needs and what is realistic for your family.

Step 1
Meet and plan

We learn about your child’s goals, school context, learning style and what has or has not worked before.

Step 2
Tutor match

We match your child with a calm, patient tutor who fits their personality, needs and preferred mode, in home or online.

Step 3
Weekly sessions

One to one sessions with clear scaffolds, repetition and routines so learning feels safe, predictable and achievable.

Step 4
Review and adjust

Short updates for parents and regular check ins so we can celebrate wins, notice patterns and adjust the plan where needed.

What a typical session feels like

Every tutor has their own style, but all Studyroom sessions follow a calm, predictable rhythm so students know what to expect each week and do not feel surprised or unprepared.

Common questions from families

If you are unsure whether tutoring is the right step, you are not alone. These are some of the questions we hear most often.

How long are sessions?

Most families choose 60 minute sessions once a week. Some students benefit from 45 minute sessions, especially younger or very anxious learners, or two sessions a week during busy assessment periods.

Is there a minimum commitment?

We recommend trying a block of at least four to six sessions so your child has time to adjust and build trust. There are no long term lock in contracts.

Do you give homework?

We keep home practice light and purposeful. This might be a short review, a reading goal or finishing a question set, always tailored to your child’s capacity and your family’s schedule.

How will I know if my child is improving?

You will receive regular check ins about progress, challenges and next steps. We also keep an eye on school feedback, grades and how your child feels about learning.

Tutor profiles

Studyroom is a small, vetted team, not a large marketplace. You will always know who is working with your child.
